About Mister Cortez
At Mister Cortez, we believe your creativity deserves tools and materials as bold and unique as the things you make.
Founded by a lifelong maker with a passion for quality and design, Mister Cortez is your go-to source for exclusive bag-making supplies, specializing in custom-designed hardware and limited-run fabric prints you won’t find anywhere else.
Each item in our collection is carefully developed with makers in mind, from the solid-cast hardware with no weak joints, to the precision spacing on our sliders that actually hold your webbing in place. Our hardware collection is exclusively designed by Mister Cortez, with every piece, sliders, d-rings, bag clasps, and rectangular rings, crafted to match perfectly for a polished, cohesive finish.
We also offer a growing range of signature fabric prints, including waterproof canvas, vinyl, Smooth CorTex, and webbing, designed in-house and produced in limited quantities. Whether it's our vibrant splatter patterns or carefully coordinated solids, every print is created to spark inspiration and bring your vision to life.
We’re here to support makers who value style, structure, and originality. With thoughtfully designed products, coordinated collections, and attention to every detail, Mister Cortez makes it easy to create something that looks and feels truly professional.
So, who are Mister Cortez and Mordy?
You might be wondering about the names behind the brand. Cortez (aka Mister Cortez) and Mordecai (Mordy) are my heart and soul, my forever fur babies and beloved adopted rescue cats. They’ve been by my side through every step of this journey, offering cuddles, chaos, and constant inspiration. This brand is named in their honor, and they remain the heart of everything I do.
We’re proud to be a woman-owned, Canadian small business built from the ground up by a fellow maker. Thank you for being here and supporting a brand that believes in quality, originality, and community.
Let’s create something amazing together.
